In this initial gathering, students will participate in a facilitated time of questions and reflections that help their peers begin to get to know them. Additionally, the course overview will be presented to help students understand each of the four core modules and the general objectives of the course which include:
- Module #1. Building a sustainable team and peer community inside and outside the workplace.
- Module #2. The role of strategy and planning in a fund development program and its application to all functions of the organization.
- Module #3. Fundamentals of advancement / development, the specific knowledge and skills that are necessary to build a successful and sustainable fund development program in the context of one’s own personal and professional gifting and equipping, and in the context of a knowledgeable and appropriate strategy and implementation plan. All amidst a peer group or industry that has similar challenges and opportunities.
- Module #4. Cementing the calling and equipping, personally and professionally, to serve as a CEO or CAO including the donor relations and revenue components.
